Guillaume Roberge Honoured by the Association des camps du Québec

During the 2025 Distinction Awards ceremony held on November 12, 2025, the Association des camps du Québec (ACQ) highlighted the remarkable contributions of exceptional individuals to the camp community. Among the award recipients, Guillaume Roberge, Director of Operations at the Centre Notre-Dame-de-Fatima, was presented with the Distinction Porteur de flambeau Award, recognizing his major and undeniable contribution to our organization and to the camp sector as a whole.

For nearly thirty years, Guillaume Roberge has been an integral part of the Fatima family. From camper to Director of Operations, he has grown alongside the camp and has helped shape its identity with passion, insight, and unwavering dedication.

“Zazou, his camp nickname, is much more than a director: he is a driving force of energy, a huge heart, and endless creativity. Always ready to lend a hand, he helps the Centre shine with passion, kindness, and a touch of humour and whimsy—a true role model for our team,” says Steven Grenier, Executive Director of the Centre Notre-Dame-de-Fatima.

A unifying and inspiring leader, Guillaume has the rare ability to recognize people’s potential and give them the tools to surpass themselves. He has trained and mentored a new generation of managers, building a culture where competence, collaboration, and humanity are at the core.

Firefighter, first responder, trainer, facilitator, manager—and bearer of the most famous moustache in the camp world—Guillaume takes on many roles with the same contagious energy.

His involvement also extends well beyond Fatima’s walls. He is a UrsaMajor master trainer, actively involved in Remue-Méninges, serves on the ACQ Board of Directors, and contributes to the Standards and Guidelines Committee, sharing his expertise with the Québec camp community.

“Guillaume embodies the very spirit of the camp world: passionate, committed, and deeply human. His influence extends far beyond our organization, and it is an honour to see him recognized by his peers,” adds Steven Grenier.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Guillaume on this well-deserved honour and thank the Association des camps du Québec for recognizing his exceptional contribution to the field.
